Hampden Sydney College Brinkley Hall

Interior Renovations

Project Details

In association with Hanbury Architects:

Jamerson-Lewis was chosen to renovate the Brinkley Hall building, formerly Winston Hall, in 2016, which included a comprehensive interior renovation to approximately 25,000 SF of existing classroom, office, storage and commons space. New Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems were also added in this renovation. The building was originally built in 1880 with multiple additions years after. This historic renovation involved special considerations as to not change the integrity of the building.  Hampden-Sydney College was able to receive Historic Tax credits for this project. The new renovations will accommodate the Fine Arts as well as improve the acoustics in the building.
