Project Details

In association with Dominion Seven Architects:

This project consisted of the demolition of McWane Hall located on Shellenberger Field and associated site. Construction of a new 270 bed, 91,000 sf residence hall took its place. The new building is three stories on the field side and four stories on the parking lot side of the site. The new building’s structure is load bearing masonry, supporting a concrete plank floor construction. The roof framing will be light gauge steel. The new residence hall will include:

270 beds
12 Study, Wellness, social, and gaming rooms.
1 Community kitchen
3 Kitchenettes
1 Central laundry room
4 all gender bathrooms.

The addition of the Honors College will be a 4,800SF addition and include 3 classrooms, study rooms, a lounge, offices for the administration, 2 "sky" lounges and 7 terraces.
