CENTRA Southside Ambulatory Healthcare Facility

The Centra Southside Ambulatory Healthcare Center project was an adaptive reuse of a 54,000 SF retail store. The former retail space now houses state-of-the-art Dialysis, Nephrology, Physical Therapy, and Orthopedic clinics as well as Laboratories, Imaging Rooms and Doctors’ offices. Design and construction of this project was phased to meet the Centra’s immediate needs in providing the local community with Dialysis services first, then allowing Centra to determine additional community needs and bringing them online as needed. Phase 1 was completed in 5 short months. This phase consisted of the Dialysis Center. Phase 2 started shortly after and was completed in 2015 included a new façade, roof and interior renovations and additions. Throughout the Design-Assist project delivery, Jamerson-Lewis provided cost control, guidance on system requirements for phased build-outs and aggressive scheduling to the project team. All project resources remained focused on providing Centra with the flexibility needed to provide the Southside Community with a premier healthcare facility.
