Devil's Backbone Outpost Expansion

Project Details

In Association with Master Engineers.

The Devil's Backbone Expansion project in Lexington, VA, was a milestone for Jamerson-Lewis Construction. This 54,000-square-foot facility was designed to support the brewery's growing operations, serving as a production, warehouse, and distribution hub.

Our team worked to carefully relocate existing bottle and can production lines into the new space, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. A new keg line was installed, along with a process pipe bridge connecting the original building to the expansion, streamlining production flow. The project featured a pre-engineered metal building, combining durability and functionality to meet the brewery’s needs.

This design-build project was a collaborative effort, involving CECO Buildings for the structure, Master Engineers for structural engineering, and Perkins & Orrison for civil engineering. The new facility has significantly increased production capacity, providing the brewery with the space and infrastructure needed to continue its success.
