This project involved extensive renovations to a 6- story, 61,329 SF historic warehouse building in downtown Lynchburg, originally built in 1918. The Lynchburg River Lofts on Jefferson Street offer commercial space on the first floor, and 1– and 2– bedroom upscale apartments with designer features and modern conveniences on the remaining floors. Several different floor plans are available, all with hardwood and ceramic tile flooring, in addition to exposed brick walls, wood beams and metal ductwork. Interior spaces share a lightwell. The architectural integrity of the building was not compromised in the construction process.The project was partially funded by historic tax credits.
