Steel Set to Rise at Riverfront Park as Renovation Progresses Ahead of Schedule

LYNCHBURG, VA | Jamerson-Lewis Construction is proud to lead the highly anticipated renovation of Riverfront Park in downtown Lynchburg - a transformative project that is not only on schedule, but ahead of it.

Backed by an $8 million investment from the City of Lynchburg, the project includes:

  • A new state-of-the-art amphitheater
  • A modern, inclusive children’s playground
  • A permanent indoor restroom facility

As the general contractor, we’re overseeing every detail — and we’re excited to announce that steel installation for the amphitheater structure begins April 14.

Significant progress is already visible on-site. The playground and restroom facility are approaching completion, and the amphitheater is on track for a Spring 2026 debut. Once complete, the new space will serve as a vibrant venue for concerts, festivals, and community events - bringing new life to the downtown riverfront.

We’re honored to be part of this landmark project — building a better, more connected future for Lynchburg and its community.
