The scope of this project includes the successful completion of the comprehensive removal of the pre-existing slate roof down to the existing roof deck, with the removal and preservation of existing flashings. The original slate has been carefully saved and safeguarded for reinstatement, while new copper flashings have been installed. In areas where the existing slate couldn't be reinstalled, reclaimed slate has been used.

Additionally, the project involved the removal of the existing flat seam copper roofing down to the existing wood roof deck, with the installation of new standing seam copper roofing. The dormers' existing slate siding and flashings were removed, and a combination of existing slate and new flashings was reinstalled.

To ensure structural integrity, any damaged wood roof deck was replaced before the installation of the new roof. The existing downspouts were replaced, and cast iron downspout boots were repaired and painted with two finish coats.

The wood soffit underwent repairs, with damaged areas receiving full replacements to match the existing wood. A meticulous historical paint analysis was conducted, involving the removal of paint layers to determine the original color. The entire soffit was then cleaned, with bare or damaged areas primed and painted with two finish coats.

In addition, all windows and doors underwent cleaning and historical paint analysis, followed by the application of two finish coats of paint. The existing wood decking, along with the stairs' risers and treads, was completely removed, while the structure remained intact. New composite decking, along with new stair risers and treads, was installed. The existing railing system was temporarily removed for this process, and once completed, it was reinstalled. New handrails, attaching to the existing railing system, were provided and installed.
